Children: Let Them Amaze You
Since I believe that gifts are meant to be shared, I included the caviar in the bag of presents that I took to my son’s house on Christmas Day. The caviar was a gift from a dear friend, and I wanted to share it with my son and daughter-in-law.
As I unpacked the bag of gifts onto the dining table, Justin remarked that LaLa had been talking about caviar and wanted to try it. LaLa is my five-year old granddaughter.
I asked Justin, “How did she come up with that! It’s not like you and Saeko have caviar every night of the week.”
“She must have seen it in a movie or something.”
As soon as LaLa heard that I had brought caviar she dropped the stuffed animals from Santa, and darted over to the table. Justin popped open the caviar. LaLa grabbed a spoon and dug right in! You can see the delight on her face from the photo above as she savored that caviar. In the meantime, Kenzo, my three-year old grandson woke up from his nap, saw the new stuffed animals and claimed them as his own. LaLa had no problem with that. All she wanted for Christmas was caviar!
